Concerned about Wheelchair Damage From Airlines When Flying? Help the DOT Address the Issues
August 24th, 2011Cliff Perez, Systems Advocate, Independent Living Center of the Hudson Valley Inc. , NY and Michael Collins
Many folks have asked me how and where can they address problems they have encountered while flying regarding the way their wheelchair is handled? Well, below you will find some useful information to help you address such issues. If you have encountered difficulties by Airlines with the handling of your wheelchair, then I strongly encourage you to take action and let the Department Of Transportation know what difficulties you have encountered and what are some possible suggestions you can provide so that the Airlines can better transport and handle your wheelchair. If this does not apply to you, please share this information with anyone you know who has either flown before and has encountered such problems or may travel via Airplane and may need this information.
