New Voter Law
July 11th, 2011
To vote in any of the primaries or recalls, you must have lived in the district for 28 days prior to the election. The previous requirement was 10 days.
You will have to sign the poll list before you’re given a ballot. You will be asked to show a photo ID but you will not be denied the right to vote if you don’t have one.
Elections officials are using this year’s elections to educate voters about the new law that takes effect next year.
