Options Receives Funding to Provide Veterans Independent Living Services

Options for Independent Living received targeted funding to provide services to veterans with disabilities in our 17 county service area which includes Brown, Calumet, Door, Fond du Lac, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Marinette, Marquette, Menominee, Oconto, Outagamie, Shawano, Sheboygan, Waupaca, Waushara and Winnebago. This is a time-limited project that will conclude by 6/30/2011.
Project Services include: Information on independent living alternatives; provision of assistive technology try-out or demonstration; site assessment for residential access when possible and written report with recommendations, as needed.
Eligibility: Be a veteran with a disability (service and non-service connected) and reside in one of the 17 counties served by Options.
