Showcase Model Home and Office
Option's unique office facility is a showcase of assistive technology and modifications in a home-like environment that is a Learning Center for people with disabilities, their families, human service professionals, students, and the general public.
Developing our unique office.
This facility was built in response to consumers requesting to see modifications and assistive technology devices in a residential setting. It took almost three years to plan and build so that people with all types of disabilities could use it as a resource. Our facility will always be changing to keep current with new technologies.
In addition to the community, students from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College use our building, resources and staff as a "working lab" to learn disability-related issues first hand from people with disabilities.
Having the accessible kitchen, bedroom, multiple bathrooms and state-of-the-art conference room, together with Options array of services, makes this a truly unique facility.
Assistive Technology
Options Showcase Home and Office Complex features many different forms of Assistive Technology (AT) for people with all types of disabilities. Our kitchen, bedroom and five (5) bathrooms showcase many different alternatives to independence and safety in the home.
Bathrooms
Options has five accessible bathrooms. Each has unique features and assistive technology to show.
Bedroom
Our Bedroom includes many features which facilitate independence. Features range from simple low-tech to state-of-the-art systems.
Kitchen
The kitchen at Options is full of amenities that provide ease of use. Some are simple modifications to standard equipment that many people would enjoy in their homes. All work together to make kitchen tasks easier.
Office
Our computer lab and staff offices have multiple computer peripherals and software for workers with disabilities as well as employers looking to make accommodations for their employees.
